SavetheDate_FoundationPage_V3_030612_copyGood Samaritan Hospital Medical Center is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3), tax-exempt institution. Unlike for-profit businesses, any revenue after expenses is used by

the Medical Center to upgrade its services, equipment and facilities. With the resources we have received in managed care reimbursements, grants and corporate support, it is

the additional resources from private giving that allows Good Samaritan to provide the most comprehensive health care services possible. The great majority of our gifts come from individuals, and we welcome gifts of any size.

All gifts to the Medical Center, large or small, are greatly appreciated and help to provide outstanding care for our community. Because giving is a private matter and will vary based on resources, there are a number of options available to support Good Samaritan:

General Donations: Outright gifts provide the Medical Center with crucial support for all of its programs and services from patient care to the purchase of advanced medical equipment.

Memorial and Tribute Donations: Families and friends of loved ones who have passed away often wish to make a gift in memory of someone special. Gifts to Good Samaritan can also provide a special opportunity to honor a family member or friend, or to honor a special event in someone’s life. Good Samaritan will send out a memorial or tribute card to the person you specify, and no mention will be ever made of the gift amount.

Planned Giving Opportunities: There are numerous planned giving opportunities for interested donors, consistent with your philanthropic goals and personal financial situations. Working with your financial advisor is most often the best way to achieve your goals. Options available:

  • Annuity Trusts
  • Charitable Remainder Trusts
  • Appreciated Stocks
  • Endowments Bequests/Wills
  • Life Insurance
  • Charitable Gift Annuities
  • Retirement Plan Gifts
  • Charitable Lead Trusts
  • Securities
