The Guilds of Good Samaritan recently presented a check for $50,000 to The Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation to further support hospital initiatives. The recent funds were raised through sales in the hospital’s gift shop, the Guild’s of Good Samaritan Thrift Store plus various Guild fundraisers.
This donation will enhance cardiology services by supporting the acquisition of cardiac monitoring equipment to enhance the care of patients throughout the hospital. The Guild’s donation will also sponsor the hospital’s “Night at the Races” fundraiser on April 23.
In addition to a range of diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular services, Good Samaritan recently launched the St. Francis Hospital Open Heart Surgery Program at Good Samaritan. This unique program brings the world-class cardiovascular surgical care for which St. Francis, The Heart Center® is known to residents of Suffolk County by relocating an entire clinical team from St. Francis to Good Sam.
